House Tours
The Christmas House Tour is a St. Albans tradition that brings together lovers of architecture, design, and DC history. The 41st annual tour will feature four stunning homes in Phillips Park, delightfully adorned for the holidays by some of DC’s most talented floral designers. Knowledgeable St. Albans community docents will highlight each home’s architectural and design elements, and guests will tour the homes serenaded by carols and live holiday music performed by talented St. Albans students. A delight for the senses, the Christmas House Tour is a fantastic way to enjoy The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Only a mile from Georgetown, Phillips Park is bordered by the Glover Archibald and Whitehaven parks and is sited on the former Dunmarlin estate, which was owned by Duncan and Marjorie Phillips, renowned patrons of the arts. The Phillips moved to Dunmarlin after converting their Dupont Circle home into the art gallery later known as the Phillips Collection. The development of Phillips Park began in the mid-2000s, attracting homeowners who wanted the freedom to custom-build by partnering with prominent architects. The homes on the tour feature both modern and old-world styling, and all were built by well-known architects and designers, including Thomas Pheasant and BarnesVanze Architects.
For the safety and privacy of our gracious homeowners, we do not release addresses in advance. Please plan to arrive at St. Albans Senior Circle, which is the main entrance to the school, and take our complimentary shuttles to, from, and in between the houses. Once you arrive in Phillips Park, the homes are within walking distance of one another. Parking information for the CHT is available here.
